Emerging Markets funds were another bucket of outperformance, the Artemis SmartGARP Global EM (+1.4%) and the Vontobel mtx Sustainable Asian Leaders (+0.9%) were the best alpha generators. GemEquity (+0.7%) benefited from the steep underweight position in both Korea and Taiwan as well as the overweight in Chinese A-shares and Brazil.
In fixed income funds, the Barings Global High Yield outperformed its benchmark by 0.4%.
Finally, within mixed-assets funds, the NinetyOne Global Multi-Asset Income fund was the noticeable outperformer (+3.2%) benefiting from its defensive positioning in net equity exposure (12.9%) and short duration in bonds (2.6 years).
