WSP Fund Selection List Clean-up
Since the beginning of the year, we have undertaken to reduce our master list of fund selections to focus on funds whose investment strategies are currently of interest to our clients.
If a fund is removed from our lists due to a current lack of interest in the asset class, but the manager remains a leader in their category, we place the fund on a watch list. This allows us to quickly reinstate it after a brief review, should the need arise later.
For other funds that are removed, they are permanently excluded from all our lists and will no longer be monitored.
As a result, we have so far removed more than twenty funds. This significant number reflects our clients’ focus on actively managed fund investments in certain asset classes and, on the other hand, the reduction of managers capable of generating satisfactory alpha for the reasons we have previously outlined.
